The Lutcher Theater and Shangri La Botanical Gardens announced the return of Symphony at Shangri La featuring the Symphony of Southeast Texas. The concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 5 PM. Originally it was scheduled for the fall of last year, but had to be rescheduled due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey. This is not the reopening of Shangri La. The buildings of the botanical gardens are still undergoing repairs, but the gardens are in good shape and will be opened for this event only.
Orange Community Players, Inc. playhouse took a hit from Harvey that shut down their season for repairs, but actors got to act. Bryan Buzbee, an OCP regular managed to fill that need by joining Port Athur Little Theatre’s PALT After Dark production of Rocky Horror Show, which finishes it’s run this weekend.
Cast as Riff Raff, Buzbee isn’t letting grass grow under his feet while OCP is down. You can catch him doing the Time Warp tonight, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. at PALT, 4701 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.
