The Mauriceville Heritage Association invites the public to join them at their first Vintage Goods and Farmer’s Market, Oct. 1, 2015. It will be held at the Mauriceville Crawfish Festival grounds 7441 Cohenour Road behind the Mauriceville Volunteer Fire Department off of Hwy 62 N.
The Vintage Goods and Farmer’s Market will host over 50 vendors with a variety of items. For sale will be homemade treats and fresh breads, garage sale items, handmade crafts and toiletries. Also available will be clothing, quilts, custom made signs, art, and re-purposed furniture. If you want to do your own repurposing, find your materials there. The Showdown on the Sabine this weekend starts with qualifying on Friday and races on Saturday and Sunday all day down at the boat dock off Simmons Drive in Orange, Texas. This free event hosted by the Orange Convention and Visitors Bureau is great for families. They will have other activities for the the kids and food booths will be available. Pavilions and umbrellas or allowed on the levee only. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the day.
