Orange Community Players, Inc. playhouse took a hit from Harvey that shut down their season for repairs, but actors got to act. Bryan Buzbee, an OCP regular managed to fill that need by joining Port Athur Little Theatre’s PALT After Dark production of Rocky Horror Show, which finishes it’s run this weekend.
Cast as Riff Raff, Buzbee isn’t letting grass grow under his feet while OCP is down. You can catch him doing the Time Warp tonight, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. at PALT, 4701 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.
Due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey, the Lutcher Theater has cancelled Momix Opus Cactus scheduled to perform on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. The Lutcher hopes to reschedule this event in a future season at a date and time to be determined.
As storm results continue to develop, it is anticipated that other upcoming shows this fall might also need to be cancelled or postponed, until later dates, to be determined. The Box Office staff plans to return to work on Monday, September 11, 2017 and will be in touch with patrons soon regarding refunds and possible rescheduling information.
The Charlie Pruitt Country Music Reunion Show was a huge success Saturday at the Jefferson Theater. The man that had an impact on the careers of several area artists was joyous at the celebration of his accomplishments. He was presented with a guitar that had a replica of the logo on the front at the end of the show. It had been signed by all the band members and performers that night, plus members of the committee.
