Who is ready for fireworks? The City of Orange will be hosting the 2017 4th of July Concert and Fireworks Celebration, Tuesday, July 4, from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion.
The event includes live entertainment by Dustin Sonnier, beginning at 7 p.m., as well as a fireworks show at 9 p.m. There will be food, drink, and sno-cone vendors on site, as well as children’s activities. Coolers and chairs are welcome.
This event is free to the public. No dogs or pets will be allowed at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion.

Enjoy a weekend full of fun, music and food at the Texas Barbecue Festival that kicks off Friday and runs through the weekend at Conn Park in Vidor, Texas. According to the Vidor Chamber of Commerce, the cook-off has been cancelled due to the weather, but the festival is still a go as of Thursday night. Tickets are $10, $5 for children, parking is free.

Tuesday, June 13, has been set as the audition day for the upcoming Charlie Pruitt Reunion show. The Charlie Pruitt Country Music Show was a staple of Southeast Texas entertainment for 25 years. Members of the original Blackwater Band and Britt Godwin have come together to bring Charlie Pruitt back to the stage for a reunion show scheduled for Aug. 19, 2017 at the historic Jefferson Theater, where it all started.
