Symphony at Shangri La returns to Orange

Syphony of Southeast Texas at Shangri LaThe Lutcher Theater and Shangri La Botanical Gardens announced the return of Symphony at Shangri La featuring the Symphony of Southeast Texas. The concert has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 5 PM. Originally it was scheduled for the fall of last year, but had to be rescheduled due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey. This is not the reopening of Shangri La. The buildings of the botanical gardens are still undergoing repairs, but the gardens are in good shape and will be opened for this event only.

Stress Relief Street Dance scheduled at Orange Depot Oct. 21

Harvey Relief Street Party PosterIt is time to return a little fun to Orange after all the stress from recovery of Hurricane Harvey.  An old fashioned block party/ street dance, the Harvey Relief Street Party is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, from 5-9 p.m. at the Orange Train Depot.

When Harvey ravaged Orange and damaged much of the city, all the events were canceled. What’s Happening Orange County approached the Friends of the Orange Depot about hosting an event at the depot to give the community a break from recovery efforts. Country Music Show Reunion was a success

It was a full house at the Charlie Pruitt Reunion show.

The Charlie Pruitt Country Music Reunion Show was a huge success Saturday at the Jefferson Theater. The man that had an impact on the careers of several area artists was joyous at the celebration of his accomplishments.  He was presented with a guitar that had a replica of the logo on the front at the end of the show.
