It is time to return a little fun to Orange after all the stress from recovery of Hurricane Harvey. An old fashioned block party/ street dance, the Harvey Relief Street Party is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, from 5-9 p.m. at the Orange Train Depot.
When Harvey ravaged Orange and damaged much of the city, all the events were canceled. What’s Happening Orange County approached the Friends of the Orange Depot about hosting an event at the depot to give the community a break from recovery efforts. Lauren Froderman, winner of “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 7, is returning for the 4th annual National Dance Day scheduled for July 29 at the Beaumont Civic Center.
We are moving indoors! The last two years, the July heat has been brutal. Since we can’t change the day, we changed the location.

Who is ready for fireworks? The City of Orange will be hosting the 2017 4th of July Concert and Fireworks Celebration, Tuesday, July 4, from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion.
The event includes live entertainment by Dustin Sonnier, beginning at 7 p.m., as well as a fireworks show at 9 p.m. There will be food, drink, and sno-cone vendors on site, as well as children’s activities. Coolers and chairs are welcome.
This event is free to the public. No dogs or pets will be allowed at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion.
