Update: Music Fest will end at 6:30 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. due to Champagne Room cancellation. No rain cancellation at this time. Champagne Room rescheduled for September Boat Races.
I was working on this announcement from the Orange Convention and Visitors Bureau that it was now OK to bring coolers to Saturday’s Music Fest. I went to tomorrow’s headliner, Champagne Room’s Facebook page and discovered this announcement…”It is with great disappointment that we must announce that we will not be performing at the Orange County Music Festival tomorrow night, March 25th, 2017. Please keep our friend and bandmate Jay Stauffer in your prayers for a speedy recovery.”
This means there will be some adjustments to the line up, but it was too late to get a reply from the CVB what those adjustments will be. As soon as we hear anything we will provide an update.
Currently the Downtown Music Festival will be held at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion on Saturday, March 25, from 12 P.M. – 9 P.M. There will be no charge for spectators to come and enjoy this fun filled event in downtown Orange, TX!
The original lineup of bands was: LN and the Crush, 1:00 – 2:30 P.M.; Geno Delafose, 3:00 – 4:30 P.M.; Bronco Junior, 5:00 – 6:30 P.M.; and headliner, Champagne Room, 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. We don’t know if they will just end it at 7p.m. or maybe have each of the remaining bands play longer. When I know…I’ll let you know.
Food and drink vendors will be on site beginning at 12 P.M. Please note, no dogs and no pets will be allowed at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion, but coolers will be welcome.
“We are excited to bring the Downtown Music Festival to Orange, TX. This gives the opportunity to bring an eclectic mix of music to one area where locals and visiting fans can come and enjoy a variety of sounds and talents,” says Social Media Coordinator, Hillary Haynes.
