Stark Cultural Venues in Orange announced this week all visitors will be admitted to Stark Museum of Art and Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center free of charge.  This is a great opportunity, especially for large families or those with limited means to enjoy what Orange has to offer. Summer time is perfect for taking in the beauty of Shangri La and the Stark Museum of Art has frequent activities for students and families. Lauren Froderman returns for SETX National Dance Day

Lauren Froderman, winner of “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 7, is returning for the 4th annual National Dance Day scheduled for July 29 at the Beaumont Civic Center.

We are moving indoors! The last two years, the July heat has been brutal. Since we can’t change the day, we changed the location.

New Exhibition and Programming Opens at SMA

The Stark Museum of Art is preparing for one of the most significant exhibitions in its history, Branding the American West: Paintings and Films, 1900-1950, opening March 11, 2017 and on view through September 9, 2017. The exhibition will include more than 80 works of art and related film content highlighting the changing brands, or imagery of violence, beauty and celebration of the American West.
