Miracle Worker comes to Lutcher

Through the years, the Lutcher has brought many fine dramatic performances to Orange. This year’s offering is The Miracle Worker, which will take the stage 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 7.

The Miracle WorkerAlthough the Lutcher’s musical performances are better attended, their dramatic offerings are usually very compelling pieces.

Were you there? Huge turnout for parade and after-party

There was a huge turnout for the Mardi Gras Parade and After-Party held in Orange Saturday.  They turned out in droves to catch beads, coins, cups and anything else thrown from the floats.IMG_20140222_173809_648

IMG_20140222_190754_277The crowd really showed their appreciation later for Earl Thomas III, free safety for the Seattle Seahawks and 2014 Super Bowl Champion, when Jimmie Simmons, the mayor of Orange declared Feb. 22, 2014 Earl Thomas Day. He also received recognition from the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce and his former coaches, Dan Hooks and Cornell Thompson presented him with a framed West Orange-Stark jersey.
