Orange Community Players, Inc. playhouse took a hit from Harvey that shut down their season for repairs, but actors got to act. Bryan Buzbee, an OCP regular managed to fill that need by joining Port Athur Little Theatre’s PALT After Dark production of Rocky Horror Show, which finishes it’s run this weekend.
Cast as Riff Raff, Buzbee isn’t letting grass grow under his feet while OCP is down. You can catch him doing the Time Warp tonight, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. at PALT, 4701 Jimmy Johnson Blvd.
‘Rico Vasquez, in his directorial debut, has a hit on his hands with “Lend Me a Tenor,” in my opinion.
“It was hard,” said Vasquez, about directing and acting in one of the starring role in the same production. “I’m asleep most of the time.”
Vasquez said the main difficulty was getting all the cast together with work schedules and such. He took the role of “Tito” the famous European tenor, because he said it would be least disruptive to the rest of the cast since his character was in a drug induced sleep most of the play.
