It is time to return a little fun to Orange after all the stress from recovery of Hurricane Harvey. An old fashioned block party/ street dance, the Harvey Relief Street Party is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, from 5-9 p.m. at the Orange Train Depot.
When Harvey ravaged Orange and damaged much of the city, all the events were canceled. What’s Happening Orange County approached the Friends of the Orange Depot about hosting an event at the depot to give the community a break from recovery efforts. It is almost time for the Friends of the Orange Depot annual Gala Event this Saturday, 6;30-9:30 p.m. at the VFW. The event raises funds for the completion of the Orange Train Depot Restoration Project. This year, the theme is Denim and Diamonds. It will feature a silent and live auction, and live entertainment, featuring highlights from Nashville. The Museum Committee of the Friends of the Orange Depot will be meeting on August 16 at 6:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church.
