Want to see the inside of the Orange Train Depot? Come see the results of the restoration of the Building, 2-5 p.m., May 7.
Come early to hear the Orange Community Band at 1:45pm followed by opening ceremonies at 2:15pm. Guided tours of our sparkling newly renovated 1902 Southern Pacific Depot follow. Plus see your engraved bricks installed on the track side. Bring the kids for arts and crafts and free rides on the train. Music and dancing by the WOS Elementary dancing troop at 3:30pm. And don’t miss the raffle benefiting the Friends of the Orange Depot. Come celebrate the Orange Train Depot as it enters the next phase…installing museum exhibits. Estimated cost for exhibits is $30,000 and the expected completion date is around September 2018.
Passing by the Orange Train Depot last night, I noticed the interior lights were on and it looked like someone was working inside. I turned the car around and went back, since I hadn’t had a chance to get any inside pictures in a little while to share with those of you who have been anxiously awaiting the completion for the depot. A combined open house will be held Saturday, Nov. 8 at both Thrift & Gift and Wesley United Methodist Church.
Thrift & Gift Shop, the Bargain Room, the Holiday Room at 350 37th St. will be open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Across the Street at 401 37th St. the Wesley United Methodist Church will be open from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m.
