Open House on 37th Street

A combined open house will be held Saturday, Nov. 8 at both Thrift & Gift and Wesley United Methodist Church.
Thrift &  Gift Shop, the Bargain Room, the Holiday Room at 350 37th St. will be open from 9 a.m.  until 1 p.m.
Across the Street at 401 37th St. the Wesley United Methodist Church will be open from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m.
Com find many unique gift items and ideas,  as well as bargains.
Thrift &  Gift Shop will also have on display the Hewitt Patches of History quilt.

Bridge City Fire & Rescue will be hosting an Open House on October 9, 2014 from 5pm-9pm.

This event is open to the public.

There will be a mock MVA scene, smoke trailer, and many other exhibits for the entire family to see.

Refreshments will be provided.

Mission

To provide the best possible emergency service to the people of Orange County Emergency Service District # 2 to minimize suffering, loss of life, and loss of property incurred by fire, accidents, disasters, and medical emergencies.

Organized in 1951 as part of the Bridge City Civil Defense Unit by John Robert Saint and Archie Calhoun, the Bridge City Volunteer Fire Department was chartered on March 26, 1953, and its original officers were:

Fire Marshal John R. Saint

Treasurer James R. Bays

First fire apparatus was a 1929 model Chevrolet fire truck donated by Harry Rosen of Port Arthur
