Paul Kane: Intrepid Artist and Adventurer
January 30 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 9:00am on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until June 2, 2018
Paul Kane contradicts the common stereotype of the reclusive artist. From 1845-1848, Kane camped and canoed across the North American continent, sketching in watercolor and oil paints along the way. He wanted to record the landscape and the people before they changed. This exhibition presents Kane’s first-hand works exploring regions through the artist’s eye. Free Admission. Free Parking. Children 12 and under are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
